Padron introduced the 1964 Anniversary Series in 1994 to mark the company's 30th anniversary. Jose Orlando Padron opened the company in Miami on September 8, 1964, and it has made cigars in Nicaragua since opening a factory there in 1970.
All tobacco in the series is aged four years, and the cigars are box pressed in the old Cuban tradition. Every size comes in a sun grown natural or a maduro wrapper, so you can pick the same shape two ways. Each cigar carries a one piece, individually numbered band that guards against counterfeits. Toro stocks sizes such as the Exclusivo, Imperial, Principe, Torpedo, Diplomatico, No. 4 and the A. For the older blend aged a year longer, see the Padron 1926 Serie.
