Nub debuted in 2008. Oliva created it with Sam Leccia around one idea: every cigar has a sweet spot, so make one that gets there right away. Most Nubs are about four inches long with ring gauges up to 66, and Oliva makes them in Nicaragua. Oliva owns the brand and kept it when Leccia left the company in 2010.
The line is sorted by wrapper, so you pick the leaf first and the size second. Toro carries Nub Habano, Connecticut, Cameroon and Maduro in sizes like the 358, 460, 464T and 466, plus tubos, samplers and the Nub Single, Double and Triple Roast cigars.
