Liga Privada means "private blend" in Spanish. Drew Estate released its first batch in 2007, and the cigars are made at La Gran Fabrica Drew Estate in Esteli, Nicaragua. The original No. 9 is a four country blend with a Brazilian mata fina binder, Nicaraguan and Honduran filler and a dark broadleaf wrapper grown in Connecticut.
The T52 followed in 2009 and swaps the broadleaf for a Connecticut Habano wrapper. The Unico Serie, also added in 2009, is a set of limited cigars where each size has its own blend. The H99, announced in 2018, uses a red hued Corojo wrapper grown in the Connecticut River Valley over a Mexican San Andres binder and aged Nicaraguan and Honduran filler. If you want the darkest and richest of the group, start with the No. 9; for a different wrapper on a similar core, try the T52 or H99. For the line the factory rollers built from the same tobaccos, see Undercrown.
