The Romeo y Julieta 1875 is made in the Dominican Republic with an Indonesian TBN wrapper over Dominican binder and filler. Altadis USA describes it as a smooth, mellow smoke with medium body. It comes in a wide spread of sizes, from the Cedro Deluxe and Bully to the Churchill, Belicoso and the long Exhibicion No. 1, with several offered in tubes or glass tubes.
Two Nicaraguan versions sit beside it. The 1875 Nicaragua is a Nicaraguan puro, with Nicaraguan wrapper, binder and filler, and Altadis calls it rich and robust. The 1875 Connecticut Nicaragua uses a Nicaraguan shade grown Connecticut wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler. Choose the original 1875 for a mellow smoke, the Connecticut Nicaragua for a light wrapper, and the Nicaragua for the strongest of the three.
